Omaha, Nebraska - Nebraska Methodist College (NMC) recently promoted two administrators as part of a leadership model transition.

Lindsay Snipes has been promoted to executive vice president and Amy Clark has been elevated to a new provost role.

These advancements mean a change to NMC’s administrative structure, which previously consisted of a president with vice presidents overseeing different departments. Under the new model, the administration has a president, executive vice president and provost.

“The move to a provost structure aligns us more closely with leading institutions in higher education and allows us to be more innovative and responsive,” said Deb Carlson, CEO and president of NMC.

“Her dedication, expertise and unwavering commitment to NMC has consistently demonstrated her suitability for this significant promotion. She will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of NMC, driving the College’s mission, vision and strategic goals” said Carlson.

Before joining NMC, Snipes was a litigation attorney where she practiced aviation law, commercial litigation, regulatory compliance and employment and labor law.

Snipes earned her J.D. from Creighton University and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Doane University.

"Embracing the spirit of growth and opportunity, I carry with me the insights and experiences gained as vice president of institutional effectiveness and am thrilled to embark on a new journey as executive vice president at Nebraska Methodist College,” said Snipes.

“This journey is not just a change in title, but an opportunity alongside President Carlson, to further influence and shape the future of healthcare education, uphold excellence and advance the potential of NMC within our community. Together, we'll continue to nurture an environment of excellence, compassion and preparing our students to be exceptional leaders in their fields.”

Headshot of Amy ClarkClark joined NMC in 2014 as dean of health professions. She has served as vice president of academic affairs since 2018 overseeing the College’s deans, registrar and educational technology.

Clark previously served as a clinical researcher at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, working with patients with dementia and their caregivers.

Most recently, Clark collaborated with a research team at NMC and Dr. Robert Penn to identify the impact of COVID-19 on healthcare employees.

She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a Master of Social Work from the University of Nebraska Omaha and a Bachelor of Science from Nebraska Wesleyan University.

“Dr. Amy Clark is passionate about our students and their healthcare careers. With her experience, dedication and leadership, Dr. Clark was the ideal person for this position,” Carlson said.

The role of provost will ensure that academic and student services are more aligned, Clark said.

“Nebraska Methodist College is a special place with faculty and staff who feel like family. Having the opportunity to continue to grow our mission with such impassioned professionals is an honor,” said Clark. “Our passion aligns with my vision as a whole to shape our academic landscape in healthcare with a steadfast commitment to ensuring our students become the professionals in their field that are highly desired and make a difference in the lives of those they serve.”
