Omaha, Nebraska – Nebraska Methodist College (NMC) is recognizing a legacy of giving with a prominent show of gratitude.
The Clark Dining Hall was re-dedicated in fall 2024 as The Winstrom Atrium. It is named in honor of Sydney and Bill Winstrom, a couple who shared a love for Methodist Health System and NMC.
NMC awarded Sydney Winstrom the title of Honorary Alumni in April 2024 to celebrate the difference she is making at the College. She funds the Winstrom Scholarship and is a loyal supporter of the Caring Cupboard, the NMC Food Pantry.
“We are stronger and better equipped to care for our students because of Sydney’s dedication and generosity,” said Deb Carlson, president and CEO of NMC.
Bill Winstrom, former CEO of Pennfield Oil Company, served on the Methodist Hospital Board of Directors. He died in 2020.
The Winstrom Atrium is located on the first floor of the Clark Center, which also houses classrooms, the bookstore, the Learning and Resource Center (LARC) and the Wellness Engagement (WE) Center.
