The Start-to-Finish Guide to an NMC Application

Are you interested in applying to Nebraska Methodist College? Here are some instructions and tips to guide you through the process.

The Big Three of Applying to NMC

 

1. Online Application

NMC offers an online application on our website. The application itself is relatively short and only takes only about 15 minutes. When completing the application, we ask that you fill in all required fields.

Once you hit submit, an automated email will be sent letting you know that we have received your application. 

2. Application Materials

When you have completed your online application, you can begin gathering your application materials. All undergraduate academic programs require that applicants submit the following:

      • Official High School Transcripts or GED Scores
      • Official College Transcripts
      • Program/Career Awareness Questionnaire - This short survey takes about two minutes to complete. If you start a new application, this questionnaire will be part of the application.
      • Written Statement - Applicants are asked to submit a written statement based on the writing prompts provided. The written statement can be composed as an essay or by answering each of the questions individually. 
Applicants should visit the website of their desired academic program to learn about any additional requirements. 

3. Application Deadlines

It's important to submit your application and materials by the posted application deadline. Many of our programs have a limited number of seats and reach capacity months prior to the program start date. We encourage you to view our 2022-2023 Application Deadlines.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where and how do I send my transcripts?

Official transcripts should come directly from your high school and/or college. Transcripts can be requested by calling your high school guidance office or the Registrar’s Office of the colleges you attended.

Official transcripts should be sent to the Enrollment Services Office at NMC. 

You can either send them to admissions@methodistcollege.edu or mail them to the Enrollment Services Office:

How and where do I submit my written statement?

Please submit your written statement to the Enrollment Services Office at admissions@methodistcollege.edu. When you submit it, don’t forget to put your name on the document. Written statement prompts can be found on the Admissions tab of each academic program.

Are there additional application requirements for International Students?

If you are an international student, we encourage you to learn more about our International Student requirements here.

I have been out of high school for quite a while, do you really need my high school transcripts?

Yes. We need an official copy of your high school transcripts, no matter when you graduated.

The classes from my previous college won’t transfer, do you still need my college transcripts?

Yes, we need a copy of your official college transcripts from all colleges attended.  Your transcripts are used in the review process to determine your academic readiness and potential for future success at NMC.

Where can I find information about my academic program of interest and additional application requirements?

When will I hear if I have been accepted to Nebraska Methodist College?

Applicants who have submitted all required paperwork will hear of their admission status by mail and email within 4-6 weeks of the posted application deadline.

Applicants to academic programs with rolling admission deadlines can expect to hear a decision within two weeks of completing their application. A rolling deadline means that there isn't a fixed application deadline for that certain program. We will accept applications and respond to applicants on a continuing basis until the program is full.
